Vivek Sood is an accomplished leader and board director with more than 30 years of experience across consumer-focused organizations, including retail, pharmacy, wholesale, convenience, and financial services. 

Appointed President and CEO of Nova Scotia Power in March 2026, Vivek is known for his focus on customers, employees and communities. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, Related Businesses at Sobeys Inc., where he played a central role in shaping corporate strategy, employee culture, and social responsibility for one of Canada’s leading food retailers. 

He serves as Chair of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's Strategic Planning Committee, is a Board Governor and member of the Presidential Search Committee for Saint Mary's University, and is a Board Trustee and Chair of the Audit/Risk Oversight Committee for the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.
