IDEA Fellowship formed to support BIPOC Entrepreneurs and Innovators
We're proud to partner with the Tribe Network to form the Tribe IDEA Fellowship presented by Emera. Through our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund, we're investing $375,000 in the fellowship that's focused on creating opportunities and removing barriers for Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) in Atlantic Canada as they pursue entrepreneurship and innovation. The program will offer participants access to peer networks, mentors, experts and financial support for their community-based efforts. This partnership builds on our commitment to driving innovation and entrepreneurship and to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in our communities. The first cohort of the Tribe IDEA Fellowship presented by Emera starts in January 2022 and will focus on inclusive policy making, advocacy and research based in Nova Scotia.
