Another Successful United Way Campaign
The annual Emera United Way Workplace campaign was a success once again. Thanks to significant fundraising efforts and the incredible generosity of our team members, we raised more money and more employees donated to the 2019 campaign compared to last year. Together with Emera’s corporate contribution, approximately $343,000 is being donated to the United Way and designated charities this year. Emera is on track to once again be the largest private sector United Way donor in Atlantic Canada. Thank you to all who donated or gave their time to help make the campaign a success. As part of Emera's Community Investment Program, the United Way Workplace campaign is just one of the ways we're helping to build safer, stronger and more innovative communities. The United Way supports programs and initiatives across the region to help combat poverty and create opportunities for youth and families.
