Chris began his career with Nova Scotia Power in 1980. He was made Chief Operating Officer of Emera and Nova Scotia Power in July 2003 and President and Chief Executive Officer of Emera in 2004.
Chris is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia. Chris serves on the Board of Directors for Innovacorp, and on many other for-profit and not-for-profit Boards of Directors. He is Past-Chair of the Canadian Electricity Association, the Greater Halifax Partnership and the Energy Council of Canada.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. |

| | Rob Bennett Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia Rob was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emera in January 2013. He previously served as President and CEO of Nova Scotia Power Inc. since June 2008, after holding the position of Executive Vice President of Revenue and Sustainability. Rob has also taken on senior leadership responsibilities on an interim basis for Emera New Brunswick. Rob began his career with Nova Scotia Power in 1988. Before rejoining Nova Scotia Power in September 2007, Rob served for two years as President and Chief Operating Officer of Bangor Hydro Electric Company in Maine. Rob serves on the Board of Governors of St. Francis Xavier University and Nova Scotia Community College, and is a Director of the Energy Council of Canada, and of the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs. Rob is a graduate from St. Francis Xavier University and holds an engineering degree from Dalhousie University (DalTech). |

.png) | | Scott Balfour Executive Vice President and CFO, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia
Scott Balfour was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Emera in April 2012. Following six years in commercial and corporate banking with TD Bank and Royal Bank of Canada, Scott played a leading role in growing Aecon Group into Canada’s largest publicly traded construction firm. Scott joined Aecon as CFO in 1994 before also taking on the role of President in 2005. During that time, Aecon grew from a $60 million regionally based road building company into a $2.8 billion multi-disciplined contractor and infrastructure developer active across Canada and around the world. During his time as President, Aecon was recognized as one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada.
Scott is a former member of Aecon’s Board of Directors as well as a former member and Chair of the Ontario Energy Association Board of Directors. Scott has also held a seat on the Infrastructure Committee at the Toronto Board of Trade. Scott holds an Honours Bachelor in Business Administration (HBBA) from Wilfred Laurier University, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business. |

Tower , FCA Executive Vice President of Business Development, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia and CEO, Emera Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador Nancy was appointed Executive Vice President of Business Development for Emera, and CEO of Emera Newfoundland and Labrador on May 1, 2011. Prior to this role, Nancy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Emera. She has also held senior positions at Nova Scotia Power in corporate finance and operations, including Controller and Vice President of Customer Operations. Nancy is a leader in her community, currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS) as well as the Advisory Council of the Dalhousie University Corporate Residency MBA Program. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of Nova Scotia Business Inc., the Board of Trustees of the QEII Foundation, and the Board of Directors of CAA Atlantic. Nancy is also the former Chair of the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants. She is a graduate of Dalhousie University. Prior to joining Emera, Nancy worked with Grant Thornton, A.I. Tower, and Ernst & Young. Throughout her career, Nancy has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, with a focus on results, coupled with solid financial acumen. It is this experience that earned her the designation of a Fellow Chartered Accountant. |

 | | Barbara Meens Thistle Chief Human Resources Officer, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia Barbara was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer for Emera, and Vice President Human Resources, Nova Scotia Power on November 25, 2011. Prior to this role, Barbara served as General Manager, Human Resources, Nova Scotia Power. Before joining Nova Scotia Power in 2009, Barbara was the National Director, Human Resources for EastLink and, before that, spent 17 years in Vancouver and Calgary in senior positions with BC Hydro, Intrawest, Westcoast Energy (now Spectra Energy) and VanCity Credit Union.
A native of Nova Scotia, Barbara grew up in Halifax. She is active in the national Human Resources community as a member of the Conference Board of Canada- Council of Human Resources Executives (East), the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA)- Senior Human Resources Committee, and HRANS. She is also Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). Barb is a Board Member of the HR Association of Nova Scotia as well as the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. |

.png) | | Bruce Marchand Chief Legal Officer, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia Bruce joined Emera in January 2012 after many years as a valued Senior Partner in the Halifax office of the law firm McInnes Cooper. He has expansive experience practicing a broad range of corporate, commercial, energy and banking law, has held various management positions and has been the client services team leader for major public and private corporations. Bruce is a member of Emera’s Corporate Council with general oversight responsibility for Corporate Services including Legal, Corporate Security, Corporate Secretary, Regulatory Affairs and Insurance/Asset Management. Bruce has numerous professional affiliations and community activities and involvement including the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society and the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). He is a member of the Nova Scotia Natural Resources and Energy Subsection of the CBA and member of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation. He holds the Chair of the QEII Foundation Board of Trustees and is Chair of its Government Relations Committee. He is also a Governor of the Junior Achievement Nova Scotia Business Hall of Fame. Bruce is a graduate of Acadia University with a BA in Economics and a graduate of Dalhousie Law School. |

Bob was appointed President and CEO, Nova Scotia Power Inc. in January 2013. Bob was most recently Executive Chairman of Light and Power Holdings in the Caribbean, a position he held since November 2011. Prior to that, he served as Chief Legal Officer for Emera. Bob has a track record of success at the operating company level, having served three years as President and COO of Bangor Hydro, where he demonstrated a deep commitment to relationships and customer service. Bob will continue as a Director for Light and Power Holdings and Barbados Light and Power.
Bob serves his community on the board of the IWK Health Centre, and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Atlantic Chapter). He is completing his Masters of Divinity degree at the Atlantic School of Theology.
A native of Yarmouth County, Bob earned his law degree at Dalhousie University and was a partner in the Calgary office of a major Canadian law firm, working primarily in the energy practice, before returning to his home province to work at Emera in 2002. |

Sarah was appointed President of Emera Caribbean Limited in January 2013. She also serves as President and CEO of ICD Utilities Limited, and continues her role as President and CEO of Grand Bahama Power Company, a position she has held since June 2011.
Sarah joined Emera in 2001. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer at Emera Utility Services, Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Emera and General Manager of Human Resources for Nova Scotia Power. Sarah earned her law degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax and received her MBA from Saint Mary's University in Halifax. |

Dan was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of CNG, Emera Inc., in February 2013. In this role, Dan will take on overall leadership of CNG opportunities in the Caribbean for Emera Inc. Prior to this appointment, Dan served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Emera Utility Services. Dan has over 24 years of experience with Emera companies. He has held the positions of General Manager of Customer Operations for Nova Scotia Power as well as a number of increasingly senior engineering, supervisory and management positions in both power production and customer operations. Some of these positions included Director of Regional Operations, Regional Manager (Sydney Region) and Production Manager at both Lingan and Point Aconi Generating Stations. Dan is currently serving as a member of the executive committee for Cigre Canada – International Council on Large Electric Systems. Dan has previously served on both the Transmission and Distribution Councils for the Canadian Electricity Association and is a past Board Member of the Cape Breton Partnership. Dan has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. |

 | | Claudette Porter President and COO, Emera Utility Services, Halifax, Nova Scotia Claudette comes to Emera Utility Services from Nova Scotia Power Inc., where she served as VP of Finance and IT since February of 2012. Prior to joining Nova Scotia Power Inc. in 2005 as Controller, Claudette held various management positions with xwave, Sempra Energy, Sempra Atlantic Gas and Grant Thornton LLP. Claudette is a member of various boards including Symphony Nova Scotia, Canadian Institute for Chartered Accountants (CICA) Board of Examiners, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia (ICANS) Conduct committee and professional development committee. Claudette is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University. |
