Robert S. Briggs

Prior to 2001, Mr. Briggs was the president and CEO of Bangor Hydro Electric Company. He started with the company as a director in 1985 and became president and CEO in 1991. Mr. Briggs became a director of the company in 2001 and is currently a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Briggs is enjoying semi-retired life in Carrabassett Valley, Maine.

Mr. Buchanan serves as chairman and CEO of Charger Energy Corporation, a private oil and gas company formed in 2010. He is a director of Athabasca Oil Sands Corp. and Hawk Exploration Ltd. Mr. Buchanan is a member of the Audit Committee, the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, as well as the Technology and Development Committee. He has been a director of the company since 2009.

Mr. Eisenhauer is President and CEO of ABCO Group Limited, which has holdings in manufacturing and distribution activities. He is the chair of the Nova Scotia Power Board of Directors and has been a director with Nova Scotia Power since 2008 and Emera since 2011. He is a Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia. Mr. Eisenhauer has been a member of the Board of Nova Scotia Business Inc. since 2005, and chair since November, 2010. He is also a member of the Board of Composites Atlantic and Atlantic Industries Limited and chairs its Audit Committee.

Ms. Chrominska is the Group Head of Global Human Resources and Communications for The Bank of Nova Scotia, where she has global responsibility for human resources, corporate communications, government relations, public policy and corporate social responsibility of the Scotiabank Group. Ms. Chrominska also serves on the Dean's Advisory Board at the Richard Ivey School of Business and on the Stratford Festival Board of Governors. She has been a director of the company since 2010.

Dr. Cook-Bennett has been chair of Manulife Financial Corporation since October 2008. Prior to this, she was chair of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. She became a director of the company in 2004 and is chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Dr. Cook-Bennett is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Mr. Huskilson has been a director and the president and CEO of Emera Inc. since 2004. He is also chairman of Bangor Hydro Electric Company and a director of Nova Scotia Power Inc. He has held a number of other positions within Nova Scotia Power Inc. and its predecessor, Nova Scotia Power Corporation, since joining the company in 1980. As well as serving as either chair or director of a number of other Emera-affiliated companies, Mr. Huskilson is the Chair of the Canadian Electricity Association, and serves on many for-profit and not-for-profit Boards of Directors. He is Past-Chair of the Greater Halifax Partnership and Past-Chair of the Energy Council of Canada.

Mr. McLennan is the former vice chair and CEO of Allstream Inc. (formerly AT&T Canada) and currently sits on the Boards of Chorus Aviation Inc. and Amdocs Ltd. He has been a director of the company since 2005 and chairman since May 2009. As well, he was  chairman of the board of Nova Scotia Power Inc. from May 2006 to May 2009. Mr. McLennan was a member of the Management Resources and Compensation Committee as well as the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee from April 2005 until May 2009, when he became chair.

Mr. Sergel is the former president and CEO of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). From 2000 - 2004, Mr. Sergel served as President and CEO for National Grid USA, and was National Grid Group PLC executive director for North America upon the completion of the merger of National Grid and New England Electric System (NEES) in March 2000. Mr. Sergel was formerly President and CEO of NEES. Mr. Sergel is also a director of State Street Corporation. He also served on the boards of the Edison Electric Institute, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, and the United Way of the Merrimac Valley. He has been a director of the company since 2010.
