Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline (M&NP) transports natural gas from the Sable reserves to markets in Atlantic Canada and the Northeastern United States. Built in 1999, the 1,400-kilometre transmission pipeline interconnects with strategic transmission systems along the Eastern Seaboard. Emera owns a 12.9% equity interest in Halifax-based M&NP, with Spectra Energy and ExxonMobil Canada completing the partnership.
