Brunswick Pipeline – Emera Delivers Employment Through New Pipeline

Due to be completed by the end of 2008, Brunswick Pipeline will connect the Canaport™ LNGLP terminal in Saint John to the existing Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline (M&NP) near St. Stephen, NB. Through its 145 kilometres of pipeline, it will deliver a significant and secure supply of natural gas to consumers in Maritime Canada and the northeastern United States. The project will further benefit the region by bringing substantial employment opportunities to the area.

Brunswick Pipeline, an Emera subsidiary, has contracted with Spectra Energy to carry out the permitting, design, construction and operation of the pipeline. Safety is the biggest priority during the pipeline construction and operation, ensuring that sensitive environments are protected.
