Donald Pether appointed to Emera Inc. Board of Directors

 

HALIFAX, Nov. 7 /CNW/ - Don Pether, former Chair of the Board (and CEO) of Dofasco Inc., has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Emera Inc.

Prior to his position as Chair, Mr. Pether, who joined Dofasco Inc. in 1970, was the President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Pether is currently Chair of the Board of the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation, is Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors for McMasterUniversity, and is Chair of the Board of the McMasterInnovationPark. He sits on the Council of Governors for the Art Gallery of Hamilton and the Board of Directors of Samuel Manu-Tech Inc. and is a former trustee of the Fording Canadian Coal Trust Board.

Mr. Pether holds a BSc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Alberta and an Honourary Doctorate of Laws from McMasterUniversity.
