National Energy Board Approves Brunswick Pipeline Project
SAINT JOHN , New Brunswick , June 1, 2007: The National Energy Board (NEB) has announced its approval of the proposed Brunswick Pipeline project.
“This is a positive announcement for our project and a very important milestone in the regulatory process,” said Robin McAdam, President of Brunswick Pipeline. “ The NEB report outlines a number of conditions for the project, and we will spend some time reviewing these in detail.”
The NEB decision is now subject to approval of the Governor in Council. Should that be received, the NEB will issue a certificate of public convenience and necessity, which will be subject to the conditions set out in today's NEB Reasons for Decision document.
“Brunswick Pipeline remains committed to an ongoing program of stakeholder engagement, and appreciates the views expressed by interveners throughout the public hearing process”,” said McAdam.
