Andrea Rosen Joins Emera Board

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, March 06, 2007, (EMA-TSX):Emera Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Rosen to the Board of Directors of the company. Ms. Rosen was formerly Vice-Chair of TD Bank Financial Group and President of TD Canada Trust. She brings significant financial and business experience to Emera, earned over a 20 year career in investment banking, commercial banking and business management.

Ms. Rosen graduated magna cum laude from Yale University , and also holds a combined L.L.B / M.B.A. from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business at York University . She also serves as a Director of Hiscox Ltd., an international specialist insurer, and has been named one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada .
