Halifax, NS November 15, 2005: Nova Scotia Power Inc. has completed the issue of $150 million new Series V Medium Term Notes. The Series V Notes bear interest at the rate of 5.67% per annum until November 14, 2035. Series V Notes held to November 14, 2035 will have an effective annual yield of 5.677%.

High Fuel Costs Impact Emera Q3 Earnings – November 4, 2005
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, November 4, 2005, (EMA-TSX): Emera Inc.’s consolidated net earnings were $15.9 million in Q3, 2005, down from $22.1 million in Q3, 2004. The earnings decrease reflects substantially lower earnings at Emera’s largest subsidiary, Nova Scotia Power Inc. (NSPI), which earned $2.7 million in the quarter, compared to $18.5 million in Q3, 2004.

Emera Inc. Sells Fuel Business to Management Team – September 2, 2005
September 2, 2005, Halifax, NS: The senior management team of Emera Fuels and several other individual investors have agreed to purchase Emera Fuels from Emera Inc.(TSX:EMA). Emera Fuels is a heating oil distribution company with 11 branch locations throughout Nova Scotiaand New Brunswick. The business will continue to operate under the Emera Fuels brand until March 31, 2006.

Emera Q2 Earnings Down – July 27, 2005
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, July 27, 2005, (EMA-TSX): Emera Inc.'s consolidated net earnings were $19.3 million in Q2, 2005, down from $29.8 million in Q2, 2004. The decrease reflects a 45% drop in earnings for the Company's largest subsidiary, Nova Scotia Power (NSPI). NSPI contributed $13.7 million to Emera's consolidated net earnings in the second quarter of this year, down from $25.0 million for the same period last year.

Joint Venture Partners Brascan Power and Emera Close Acquisition of Hydroelectric Facilities in New England – May 24, 2005
Gatineau, Quebec and Halifax, Nova Scotia, May 24 , 2005 - Brascan Power Inc. and Emera Inc., in a 50-50 joint venture, announced today the completion of the acquisition of the 610 megawatt (MW) Bear Swamp Hydroelectric Generating Facility, located on the Deerfield River in northern Massachusetts for US $92 million. The assets are comprised of a 600 MW hydroelectric pumped storage generating station and a conventional 10 MW generating station.
