Greater Transparency and a Shrinking Environmental Footprint

Nova Scotia Power Inc. is leading the way with their transparency in reporting emissions, their assessment of climate change strategies, and the programs they put in place to reduce overall emissions. As a direct result of these tangible initiatives, Emera is one of only 15 companies traded on the TSX to be selected by the Conference Board of Canada as a Climate Disclosure Leader. The Carbon Disclosure Project represents 315 investors around the world with over $41 trillion in assets. By assessing and reporting their carbon footprint, this project helps investors to make more responsible decisions about their portfolios.
