Minimizing Environmental Impact

During the construction of the Northeast Reliability Interconnect, Bangor Hydro worked hard to minimize environmental impact to the region. They made sure the structure spanned wetlands and water bodies, and maintained vegetative buffers along rivers and streams. They also avoided construction during critical spawning and nesting periods for fish and wildlife.
