Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia Gets Financial Boost from Emera

Young Nova Scotians are discovering leadership and enhancing their entrepreneurial and workforce readiness skills thanks in part to Emera’s support. The energy company has committed to donating $18,000 each year for 2008 and 2009 to Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia. This generous contribution will go a long way in supporting the JA Titan program, an interactive web-based business simulation for high school students, and its annual luncheon. It will also give students the opportunity to participate in the “Economics for staying in school” program, which opens students’ eyes to the benefits of staying in school for long-term career success.
