Emera Helps Grant More Children’s Wishes

More special wishes than ever will be granted to children with high risk, life threatening illnesses thanks to Emera’s $300,000 donation over the next three years to The Children’s Wish Foundation. As the single largest corporate donation ever received by the Nova Scotia Chapter, Emera and its employees are proud that they can contribute to fulfilling the dreams of so many courageous kids.

In Exile for a Good Cause

Last year, Emera President and CEO Chris Huskilson was sent to Exile Island – George’s Island in the Halifax Harbour – in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation. He spent a day hoping for rescue while his employees and the friends of Emera and its subsidiaries valiantly raised $16,000 to get him off the island safely. Twenty-five children facing the ultimate survivor challenge will have their wishes granted thanks to their great fundraising efforts.
